Run a tap and watch the water run through your fingers...

And as it does, give thanks for how God’s Spirit washes, not only over you but through you...

            You are God’s child.           

            And believe it or not, in you he is well pleased.


Help me, Heavenly Father, to trust that you can make even me, new.
I know it will take time -
a long, long time,
but let your Spirit wash over me and through me right this second -
washing away what's not good,
what I don't need
the hurts of the past
both those I've borne and inflicted.
Give me the courage to believe that right this minute 
I have the fresh start
with you
that I need.
A fresh start that never runs out.
Never gives up.
Never fails...
