Monday 16^th January: Day 9

A new week.

Full of new opportunities.

Or is it more of the ‘same old’?

We started this blog saying God’s Spirit

Who created the universe from nothing more than water

Can re-create us.

Do we believe that yet?

The answer lies in how

Right now,

We’re viewing this week.

Even this Monday.

If our shoulders are drooping

Our heads are down

Then maybe

Just maybe

We haven’t quite grasped the potential of God’s re-modelling skills

When it comes to us

And to the world around us.

Father God

Open my eyes to what is

And my mind to what could be.

Open my imagination to be inspired

To see how I

And my world

Could and can change.

Take my worry

My tiredness

Take my fears

As well as my doubts

Take the facts that seem so certain

And create something new

Something promising

Something good

Let the faith you have in me

Lead to my having more faith in you.

Help me see that you can and will

Make me more

Than I ever hoped or imagined

Starting now.

Help me to see the shoots of new life

In me

This day.

And thank you.
