Monday 23rd
January: Day 16
As this week progresses,
please don’t forget the lessons of last week.
You are loved and
accepted as you are
By our amazing God.
So love yourself enough
to take care of yourself.
Love however, can’t stop
and stay with me...
or with you...
Love is meant for
enjoying – yes
But it’s also meant for
sharing
And we need to do so in
God’s name
And for his sake.
What’s come into my mind
today is an ancient prayer, said to have been written by St Teresa of
Avila. She said this:
Christ has no
body now but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes through which he looks
Compassion on this world,
Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good,
Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world.
Yours are the hands, yours are the feet,
Yours are the eyes, you are his body.
Christ has no body now but yours.
Let these words be in
your mind all day today.
See if they influence
what you do and say.
Christ
has no body now but yours.....
Perhaps one of Casting
Crowns’ songs might help. Click on the
link or even better still download it to your phone so that you can play it
over...
